When it comes to concealed carry during the summer months we can all agree on one thing…it’s a little bit harder. The weather, along with the clothing options, can present a bit of a challenge.

Read MoreAs women, carrying concealed presents challenges that our male counterparts don’t have to deal with. Besides the obvious fact that our body shapes are different, our clothing options and choices differ vastly. Being a woman is one of our greatest assets—we have so many clothing choices to suit our look or mood for the day.
Read MoreI've talked about it before, and I will continue to mention it, but concealed carry takes practice and experimenting. I make every attempt to keep with my overall style and make adjustments where I see fit. One of those adjustments are the shirts I wear. I am a die hard t-shirt and jeans kind of girl but have come to realize that expanding my shirt game outside of a plain black tee has made concealed carry that much easier. As women, we don’t have to completely change our wardrobe to fit this lifestyle.

I was curious to see how well the VP9SK would fit with my wardrobe compared to my Glock 43 especially going into the summer months when fabrics are lighter and layers are minimal.
Read MoreI'm often asked about why I carry a full-size gun versus a sub-compact. When I first started carrying, the only gun I owned was my HKVP9. Then I got my Glock 43, which is a great option for carrying concealed. However, I preferred for so long to carry my HKVP9 because it's the gun that fit in my hand the best, the one that I preferred to shoot, and at the time, the one I trained with the most.
